What will be installed in my home?

There are two (2) major components of a PLDT myDSL-W connection: the antenna, which may be indoor- or outdoor-mounted, and the subscriber unit.

The PLDT myDSL-W Indoor/Outdoor Antenna – The antenna should be appropriately located with “near line of sight” from the nearest cell site. Typically, the roof of your office building or an office window is the best location. There are two (2) types of antennae: the 16dBi Outdoor Unit Antenna, 13.5” x 13.5”, which may be conveniently placed by a window inside the office or outside on the roof. Alternatively, the roof-mounted 24dBi Outdoor Antenna Unit may be installed if a high-gain antenna is required. There are several mounting options that can be supported to ensure that the antenna will unobtrusively blend in your office environment.

(Indoor/Outdoor Antenna)

Indoor Subscriber Unit – The subscriber unit is a small piece of equipment, weighing only 2 lbs. with dimensions of 8.6” x 1.4” x 6.9”, with Ethernet ports connected to the antenna and the network routers. This connects your PC to the PLDT myDSL-W Indoor/Outdoor antenna via a Foil Twisted Pair Cable or Foil Screened Twisted Pair (FTP Cable – Same one used in LAN connections) through a Cable.
