Europe to play Asia in new badminton event
The European Badminton Union is delighted to announce its involvement in a new badminton event called the MVP Cup. The event will be a team competition between Europe and Asia, and will take place in Manila, from 12 - 14 July 2005. read more

Even behind 3-0 after the opening night the spirit on the European Team is high. We are confident that we can get back into the game and our hopes are set for 2 win's tonight.

On the second day of the 2005 MVP Cup the European shuttlers struck back. The players had hoped for 2 win's out if 3 possibilities and this is exactly what was achieved.  read more

Europe vs Asia - day 3

On the third day of the MVP Cup the Asian Team clinched the title as the strongest badminton continent. It was however Europe that went up 5-7 on the night after a close win from Gail Emms and Nathan Robertson against the home darlings Kennie and Kennevic Ascuncion. In the end the Asian singles proved to big a mouthful and good fights from Yao Yie and Anders Boesen could not prevent the Asian Team to decide the match 11-7 in their favour. read more
