Mia’s career, like that of her women’s singles compatriots,
has spanned a decade! Winning or runner-up in 24 tournaments
over her career, Mia has the experience to match any player.
Her style depends on her deadly accuracy; she will run you from corner to corner on the court!
Her record against Zhang and Wang is quite even—so the matches should be tight.
Last year, in the windy environment at Stadium Ultra,
Mia was beaten by Zhang, but if the conditions
are better at Araneta, she will have a good chance
to score points for Europe. Mia is the only player to
win an Olympic medal for two countries (Indonesia and
the Netherlands) when she took home the Silver in 1996
and again at the 2004 Olympics.
