PROFILE:
Gail Emms and Donna Kellogg have recently risen to the top of the women’s
doubles badminton world through strong results both in Europe and Asia.
The current European Champions and runners-up at the 6 star Danish Open,
they have also proven tough opponents at the Hong Kong, China and
Singapore Open events this year.
Gail participated in the MVP Cup in 2005 winning her mixed doubles match with
partner Nathan Robertson (then #1 in the world) in a thriller over
local heroes, the Asuncions. She also won her doubles match pairing
with Mia Audina to defeat Saralee & Sathinee—who will be their opponents
at this year’s event. Emms and Kellogg are currently ranked 4th in the
world and should be favorites to take home the points in this match-up.
