recent finals appearance in the Singapore
Open in June shows that Kenneth Jonassen
is on top of his game. His best year
was in 2004 when he took both the
Singapore and Dutch Open titles. A
past winner of the 5 star Korea Open
event (2003) and currently ranked
in the world’s top 5, he will lead
the charge for the European men’s
singles category.
Making his first appearance at the
MVP Cup, Jonassen will be facing difficult
opposition on the Asian tam. He’s
never beaten Taufik Hidayat or Lin
Dan in eight attempts, so his work
will be cut out for him. However,
he’s just achieved the highest ranking
of his career (world #4) and is playing
some of the best badminton in the
world. |
