PROFILE:
Robert Mateusiak and partner Michael Logosz were scheduled
to take on their Malaysian counterparts at the MVP Cup this year.
However, due to an injury to Logosz, Mateusiak will partner with Robert
Blair of England at this year’s event. Mateusiak, the 2-time bronze
medalist at the European Championships and 2-time semi-finalist at the
China Masters event and will be making his first appearance at the MVP Cup.
Robert Blair is ranked 5th in the world in Men’s Doubles and also
plays Mixed Doubles where he is ranked 11th in the world. Blair
lost his only match at the MVP Cup last year in Men’s Doubles also
against Malaysians. Neither Blair nor Mateusiak have defeated
Choong/Lee from Malaysia, so they’ll have their work cut out for
them at the MVP Cup 2006!
